Lesbian* Pickleball Festival @DLO

Come and join the Lesbian* Pickleball Festival on Saturday 6 January from 15-18h (followed by a lovely dinner and party) at the Dutch National Tennis Center in Amstelveen.

Curious what pickleball is like? Feel like trying out?
Take part in the pickleball festival during the international GLTA tennis tournament Dutch Lesbian* Open. organised by Stichting The L*World in cooperation with Pickleball Holland.
Free for all participants of the Dutch Lesbian* Open and only €7,50 for non-participants.

What can you expect?
If pickleball is new for you, we offer you a 30-minutes clinic and after that you’re ready to jump into the festival.
All experienced players can join our festival in which you play short double games with and against different
women. We’ll take care of making the teams. No prizes to win but a lot of fun is included.
And the good thing is, you can start and quit at every quarter between 3 and 6 pm, so if you have to play
another tennis game or feel like doing something else, just give us a sign that you’ll leave (and maybe come back
later).

What is pickleball? One of the most popular racketsports in the USA and more and more popular in the whole
world. Pickleball Holland started 10 years ago and is part of the KNLTB (Dutch Tennis Federation). Beside regular tournaments, Pickleball Holland organise a LGBTI-pickleballtournament twice a year and in 2022 they ran the Pickleball event at EuroGames Nijmegen. These events are/were very popular amongst L*women. We’re sure it will be the same at the Dutch Lesbian Open.

You can register until the 22 December You don’t need to bring anything special, indoor sportsshoes will do. Pickleball Holland provides paddles and balls.
